Scott is seeking election to AGS, he is an experienced PCS activist and currently holds the position of President of East Kilbride Branch – the largest in Scotland. Since his election to the GEC in 2017, he has played a key role in national negotiations in both Benefits & Credits and BT&C, helping to secure jobs for members who were at risk from redundancy. He is also working with branches to set up Business Trade Union Side Committees in some of the most challenging areas such as Transformation and CS&TD. Scott has successfully fought off early office closures and in his role as joint PCS Hub Lead for Scotland, he continues to pro-actively support local campaigns such as the Stay in EK Campaign and the campaign to save Cumbernauld office. As part of the DTUS BoF team, he has also led on an invaluable data analysis exercise on the BoF migration paths, information which has since been used to challenge the HMRC assumptions.
