Lydia has been an activist for 20 years, serving as a workplace representative, Assistant Branch Secretary, Branch Chair and she has attended both Group and National Conference. Lydia is a member of the local Trade Council and is committed to fighting office closures, campaigning for better pay / conditions and challenging discrimination in the workplace. Currently she is fighting to save the last HMRC office in NW London and has organised a walk out, a petition, postcards to Parliament, spoke at the local Trades Council, worked alongside local activists, MPs and produced data demonstrating members are outside reasonable travel.
